If you’re trying to figure out how to choose a realtor in Berks County or Montgomery County, you’ve probably noticed every agent’s website says roughly the same thing: responsive, knowledgeable, dedicated to clients. Reviews can be curated, and taglines are recycled. Here are six questions that actually cut through the noise so you can tell who’s going to show up for you versus who just has a nice website.
Anyone can post testimonials on their own site. A more reliable signal is reviews collected through a third-party platform that verifies the client actually worked with the agent. I hold a 5.0-star rating across 20 verified reviews on Realtor.com, plus additional written testimonials from past buyers and sellers — all viewable independently, not curated by her.
Berks County and Montgomery County aren’t single markets. Pricing, inventory, and pace can look completely different in Kutztown than in Collegeville, or in Pottstown than in Norristown. I have spent her career working specifically across these communities — including Boyertown, Douglassville, Fleetwood, Kutztown, Collegeville, Norristown, Phoenixville, and Pottstown — rather than covering a broad region at arm’s length.
Ask whether an agent regularly works as both a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent, or only ever sees one side of the table. I works both roles, which means I understand what both parties are actually trying to get out of a negotiation — useful whether you’re buying, selling, or doing both at once.
Anyone can be pleasant when a sale goes smoothly. The better question is how an agent handles the harder calls — telling a client a house isn’t right for them, or pushing back on a lowball offer. Reviewers of my work repeatedly point to my honesty and willingness to tell clients the truth, even when it wasn’t the easy answer.
Ask how long the agent has worked specifically in your market, not just in real estate broadly. I have 10 years of experience and was born and raised in Southeastern Pennsylvania, so her local knowledge isn’t borrowed from a training manual — it’s built from actually living here.
Ask for recent closed sales, not just career highlights. I have 24 recent sales, giving me active, current experience across a range of price points rather than a track record built entirely years ago.
Choosing the right agent comes down to asking for proof, not promises: verified reviews, hyper-local knowledge, both-sides-of-the-table experience, and an honest track record. I bring a decade of that experience to Berks County, Montgomery County, and the surrounding Southeastern Pennsylvania communities.
